On 17 January 2026, in Vilnius, at Independence Square next to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, a ceremonial event was held to mark the 35th anniversary of the National Defence Volunteer Forces (NDVF). During the event, three Lithuanian companies were recognised for their contribution as employers supporting the strengthening of NDVF. UAB CIE LT Forge was among the awarded companies.

During the ceremony, the award was presented to Darius Masionis, General Manager of UAB CIE LT Forge, for the company’s significant contribution to strengthening the National Defence Volunteer Forces, for creating favourable conditions for volunteer soldiers, and for promoting the values of the Lithuanian Armed Forces in society. The award was presented by General Raimundas Vaikšnoras, Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.

“Although, as a manufacturing company where processes practically never stop, we face additional challenges when employees are absent for longer periods, we always approach such situations responsibly and with a strong sense of civic duty. I believe it is the responsibility of every Lithuanian employer to create conditions that allow employees to balance their commitment to the country with their professional responsibilities. This is especially important today, while the war in Ukraine continues and geopolitical tensions and uncertainty persist,” says Darius Masionis, CEO of CIE LT Forge.

Currently, eight National Defence Volunteer Forces soldiers are employed at CIE LT Forge, two employees are performing compulsory initial military service, and one employee is part of the reserve.
